Artificial Extinction 2 is a one-of-a-kind hybrid of first-person shooter, real-time strategy, and tower defense — developed over four years by a solo developer as a passion project.

Play as a sentient AI fighting for survival on a hostile Earth ruled by a genocidal machine intelligence. Switch seamlessly between RTS command view to build and manage your base, and FPS mode to engage enemies directly in brutal front-line combat. Only by mastering both perspectives can you survive.

Your mission is simple: defend your base until critical data decrypts, then summon your mothership and escape. But the enemy is relentless — and your survival depends on smart planning, fast thinking, and deadly accuracy.

Core Gameplay Features:

• Seamless Hybrid Gameplay – Switch instantly between tactical top-down RTS and immersive FPS combat. Neither mode alone is enough to win.
• Deep Base Building – Construct and upgrade your base using a network of power generators, miners, and 8 types of turret guns.
• Resource Management – Mine metal, uranium, and thorium; generate energy; and manage turret ammo consumption in real time.
• Tech Tree Progression – Build a Quantum Computer to unlock new FPS weapons and turret upgrades through a tech tree system.
• Advanced AI Enemies – Fight 8 unique Mech types, robotic soldiers, combat drones, and airborne enemies with varied, deadly weapons.
• Support Systems – Deploy a powerful military drone and activate long-range artillery to thin out waves from a distance.
• Dynamic Maps & Replayability – Procedural elements like enemy attack paths, resource node placement, and base locations change each playthrough.
• Score & Leaderboards – Compete for survival time on global Steam leaderboards across every level and unlocked game mode.
• Game Modes – Unlock special challenges like:

Campaign & Replayability:

The game includes 10 handcrafted levels, each with distinct terrain and tactical challenges. Replay each level to face new enemy attack patterns, resource layouts, and survival challenges. Every victory unlocks new ways to play.
