Midpoint is a 2D Metroidvania with RPG elements. Destroy enemies, dodge attacks, and steal spiritual energy from your foes. Be possessed by spirits of light and darkness to gain unique upgrades. The hyperfocus mechanic allows you to absorb energy from the environment and steal energy from your enemies to power your abilities. The closer you are to them, the more effective it becomes at draining their spiritual energy.

Some enemies have passives, such as "Tough Skin," which blocks damage lower than their shield value.

We feature simplified motion inputs: specific combinations of directions and buttons that players must input to execute special moves or advanced attacks. These require precision and practice, making special moves rewarding to master and adding a layer of depth to the gameplay. Like the skill tree ability Reversal: while Air Cut is active, it adds additional hits by alternating ◁ ▷ repeatedly.
