为何要采用抢先体验这种模式？

“Observe has complex AI programming, strategy simulation, and procedural generation that would benefit from community input. As it's a game that is built around player creativity, Early Access provides the ideal environment to:

Gather feedback on AI Programming mechanics and general game balance.
Identify edge cases in the game's simulation.
Build and refine the tournament structure with active participants.
Establish a strong foundation for the community before Observe's first official tournament.

I'm committed to frequent updates during Early Access. I have a clear vision of what will be added during Early Access. Below, you can see my roadmap, note that these can be tweaked and changed based on community input.

Cultures: Both on regional level and country level, I am planning to add cultures to the game. Cultures would change how regions affect to the game and on the country level it would make matters more complex because AI would now have to account for that.
Religions: Similar to cultures, religions being in-game would change both the regions and the countries. It would add more flavor to the game and would make AI behave differently.
Diplomacy: I want to make diplomacy sort-of different than what would you expect. What I had in mind would work more like, "different players' AI communicating within the game to work on something together" rather than just "Oh you can't attack someone if you are allied".
More customization: Observe offers a lot of customization right now but with each update like "Cultures", you would also get the ability to create and design cultures to your liking.
Map expansions: Currently there is 3400+ regions in the game, but that number will rise during development. Based on community input, I can correctly choose what region was undercooked by me so that I can make the map better.

The game is already stable and feature-complete as described on the store page. But I believe community input can make it even better. The "why" of Early Access is essentially that I want to iterate on the game frequently with player feedback guiding development.”

“In the full version, the map would be changed and expanded upon. I want to add cultures, religions, diplomacy, and ideologies at the minimum. I want to give players the ability to create custom maps, but I am not 100% on its feasability as of now. It may or may not be in the full version.”

“It is stable and playable with all the features listed in the store page.”

“The pricing will go up once the game leaves early access.”

“Through Discord, I plan to hold discussions and polls about the game's future mechanics. I say "plan" because I don't know if there is going to be a community that wants to involve in the development process.

Other than that, I will read every suggestion on Steam forums and emails that get sent to me.”

OBSERVE - Craft, Program, and Watch History Unfold

Observe is a grand strategy simulation where you just don't play. You create the rules and the AI behaviors and watch them unfold. This is essentially a platform where you craft scenarios, program AI behaviors, and witness unique alternate histories develop!

AI Studio - Program Your Own AI

The heart of Observe is the ability to program your own AI and watch it compete against others. Through AI Studio, where you have access to documentation, you can create an AI, then assign it to a country of your choosing, and assign others' AIs to different countries and test your strategy.

The AI Studio features an intuitive interface with documentation built right in. Even if you've never coded before, you'll find yourself creating simple behaviors in minutes. For experienced programmers, the depth is limitless.

Scenario Editor - Craft Your World

The Scenario Editor gives you complete control over your simulations:

Create and customize countries with unique colors, names, and starting territories
Then modify 3400+ regions. Their names, development levels, and population are all customizable
Adjust global parameters like starting dates, time formats, technology levels and even ocean colors
You can save your scenarios, edit them whenever you want, and share them with the community
Save individual countries to your library to be used in the History Shuffle feature

Every aspect of the world is customizable. Want to see how history might unfold if the Roman Empire survived into modern times? Or what if every continent formed their own country? The Scenario Editor makes it possible.

History Shuffle - Infinite Alternate Histories

Observe's most unique feature, History Shuffle, creates procedurally generated scenarios that provide endless entertainment:

Automatically combines countries from your library into unexpected new scenarios
Witness the Mongol Empire, U.S.A, and Roman Empire compete on the same map
Set to "endless" mode to automatically generate new scenarios after each conclusion without clicking anything
Perfect background entertainment while working or relaxing

With History Shuffle, you'll never run out of fresh content to observe.

Performance & Scale - A World of Detail

Observe was built from the ground up with performance in mind:

3400+ detailed regions across the entire world map
Optimized simulation runs at 60+ FPS even in late-game scenarios
Complete simulations in 10-15 minutes for quick, satisfying sessions
Seamless wraparound map. Cross the Pacific and find yourself in the Americas
The simulation is in-depth. All regions have real-world (adjusted) population data and manpower is limited
With the supply system, it means that encircled regions or overseas regions with no port connections are easy targets
Map modes to help you understand the world's situation

Tournaments - Compete with Your Strategy

Beyond solo play, Observe features a unique tournament system:

Annual AI programming competitions where the best strategists compete
A challenge to adapt to surprise game updates and new mechanics
Watch the tournament to see crazy player created strategies or join it to be crowned for the year
